"Departure to Ukraine, because the world needs the grain"

- István Nagy posted a picture with this text this morning. The Minister of Agriculture is the second member of the government to visit Ukraine since the outbreak of the war, previously Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó visited the war-torn country , where he held talks with the governor of Transcarpathia.

- There is a threat of a food crisis in many of the poorer regions of the world, and the disaster can only be averted if it is possible to free the grain from Ukraine by opening the land corridor - said the Minister of Agriculture in an interview given to our newspaper a month ago .

He added:

If the grain does not get out of the country, it can lead to serious social tensions and even a widening of the war.

In yesterday's government briefing, Gergely Gulyás, the minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office, said in response to a relevant question that, despite the drought year, Hungary will be able to supply itself with grain in 2022 as well.
