Europe's energy crisis has also reached Hungarian families. Unfortunately, it seems that starting next month, the energy costs of households consuming above the average will increase, Olivér Hortay said in a video uploaded to his social media page.

The head of Századvég's energy business indicated:

In other European countries, however, it is feared that the provision of food for masses of families will be at risk, meaning that they will not be able to enjoy the warmth of their homes at all.

The situation is critical, let's see what are the three things that would be necessary to solve it. First of all, Western politicians need to change their communication. The price increase experienced since the outbreak of the war is largely not due to concrete events, but to threatening statements, the expert explained.

Pro-sanctions politicians have been floating the gas embargo since the beginning of March, causing constant tension in the market. In addition, Russia has limited its deliveries on the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline because Germany has announced that it will not buy any energy from Moscow after 2024. Due to the maintenance of the pipeline, there is currently no transport at all, and Berlin has been preparing the markets for weeks to ensure that this remains the case permanently, Olivér Hortay explained. According to him, prices are therefore driven by fear, which is fueled by statements.

Eliminating faulty communication would also cool prices.

The second task is to permanently forget the sanctions that are against the interests of the European community and go beyond war. Today, we are at a point where peace alone would not solve the energy crisis, because it would not be enough to lift some sanctions, said the expert.

He emphasized: in addition to the accepted rules, for example, the oil embargo could only be lifted under completely unrealistic conditions. By now, however, it has been proven that without Russian energy, Europe can become inoperable even in the medium term.

Thus, not only must peace be achieved, but the criteria for counterproductive sanctions must also be revised immediately. And there is no question of the introduction of new sanctions affecting energy deliveries.

Finally, although it receives less attention today, the energy crisis already preceded the war. Regardless of the conflict, the European energy market suffers from structural problems, which are largely the result of Brussels' faulty energy policy. In order to completely settle the current situation, it will be absolutely necessary to reform the previous EU aspirations. It is unacceptable to base the union's policy on artificially raising prices and reducing the community's own reliable production capacities. Instead, it is necessary to strive for safe and affordable care, Olivér Hortay added.

So, although the situation is serious, it is not hopeless. However, in order to find a solution, Western politicians must change their previous approach. It would be nice not to wait for this to be forced by angry European masses.
