They emphasized that the Hungarian government made a unique decision in Europe by providing the utility reduction maintained for the tenth year to protect the Hungarian population even in the current energy crisis. According to the government's decision, users in Hungary can continue to buy electricity and natural gas at reduced utility prices up to the amount specified in the government's decree. Customers do not have to pay the real market price above the discounted band limit, but the much more favorable residential market price.
It was detailed that following the changes on August 1, 2022, residential customers and large families living in non-apartment buildings will receive the first bills for July-August consumption after August 23. Condominiums and large families living in condominiums can expect their bills from September, and the service provider sends them invoices for two billing periods (July-August and August-September).
It was pointed out that the first bill may also include consumption before August 1st, which was calculated at the reduced utility price valid before August 1st.
In its announcement, MVM Next Energiakereskedelmi Zrt. emphasized that for the first time they are sending an invoice in which the residential market price can already be included in the invoice in case of higher than average consumption.
If consumption remains below the utility-reduced, discounted band limit, typically only the discounted, utility-reduced price will be included in the bill.
If the consumption exceeds the discount band limit, regardless of the dictated or flat-rate amount paid, every monthly bill will include the residential market price with reduced utilities and a more favorable price compared to the real market price.
The content of the so-called overhead box, which contains highlighted information on the first page of the invoice, has also changed.
You will be able to see how much the customer would pay without the overhead reduction, calculated at world market prices,
and the savings for the current accounting period are also included in the invoice, i.e. the difference between the amount calculated at the world market price and the amount actually payable at the reduced overhead price - the announcement says.
It is important to note that after the annual reading, the customer will pay for the energy actually used, regardless of whether he paid a fixed monthly or monthly fee until the annual settlement. Because of the time-proportional calculation
the discounted quantity that may not have been used during the settlement period is not lost, the service provider takes it into account during the next settlement
- announced MVM Next Energiakereskedelmi Zrt.
The customer can decide to change the billing method at any time. If you want your monthly costs to be balanced between winter and summer, and thus make your expenses more planable, you can choose flat-rate, even invoicing.
Regarding invoicing and other information, the service provider has compiled detailed information, which is available on the website. It is worth choosing the electronic administration options, where customers can manage their energy matters comfortably, quickly, without standing in line - informed MVM Next Energiakereskedelmi Zrt.
