Migrant crime has become the focus of the election campaign in Italy: the right raises its voice against migration, the left mentions racism because of the rape committed by an African immigrant in Piacenza.
A 55-year-old Ukrainian woman was assaulted and raped by a 27-year-old Guinean migrant , in the center of Piacenza early Sunday morning . The man was taken into custody, the woman was taken to hospital in a state of shock. The recording of the incident was published on the social media site of Giorgia Meloni,
Enrico Letta , called the publication of the recording Cecilia D'Elia, who represents the women's section of the PD, the right is using what happened in Piacenza as political propaganda. He added that the right wing makes a general attack on migrants, while the nationality of the perpetrator does not matter.
When announcing the recording, Giorgia Meloni wrote that the goals of the right-wing include the demolition of cities, action against crime and mass illegal immigration. Responding to Enrico Letta, he noted that he was ashamed of the political leaders who attack him on the grounds of sexual violence, but did not express a single word of solidarity to the victim , as on the left "they are afraid of confronting the critical public security situation, which is aggravated by mass illegal immigration", added Giorgia Meloni.
His ally, Matteo Salvini , the leader of the League, announced: if the right wins the election, the police and gendarmerie will be increased by ten thousand people, cities will be monitored with surveillance cameras and illegal migration will be stopped!
Emis Killa spoke out on the matter , who on Monday also called attention to the deterioration of public safety on his social media page and compared Rimini on the Adriatic to Marseilles, which is dangerous from the point of view of public safety. He wrote on his Twitter account that Rimini used to be one of the favorite resorts of families and young people, "but now you're afraid to walk on the beach after six in the evening" . The musician-singer referred to crimes committed by migrants in the city since the beginning of summer.
Earlier, the Italian influencer with the largest following, Chiara Ferragni , called Milan dangerous because of the increasing crime rate, which the center-left mayor, Giuseppe Sala, rejected.
