In Csíkszentdomokos, Székelyföld, the Kippkopp kindergarten, built with the support of the Hungarian state and named after the fairy-tale hero, was inaugurated on Friday afternoon.

Built on a 2,500-square-meter plot of land owned by the Roman Catholic Parish of Csíkszentdomokos, the new institution with a useful floor area of 748 square meters can provide high-quality care to four groups of preschoolers, i.e. nearly 80 children. The total value of the investment is HUF 281.5 million. According to the plans, the maintenance of the institution will be ensured by the municipality.

At the opening ceremony, Kelemen Hunor, Deputy Prime Minister of the Romanian government, said: they are handing over a kindergarten that the children have already taken possession of for some time. As he said, he considers it important to be able to provide the same conditions for children's education in villages as in cities. He considered it fortunate for the Transylvanian Hungarians that they were able to obtain funds for the development of educational institutions from both the Romanian and Hungarian governments.

In his speech, Péter Szilágyi, the Deputy State Secretary of the State Secretariat for National Policy, quoted the great native of the village, the Transylvanian Roman Catholic bishop Áron Márton, who said that the people are like children: they understand from their actions. He added: since 2010, the Hungarian government has also been building its national policy on actions.

He mentioned as a basic principle of child rearing that the child gets the best of everything he needs. He believed that if the future generation gets quality from the trinity of culture, values and faith, then it will find the right way for everything else by itself.

Kippkopp Kindergarten in Csíkszentdomokos was blessed by the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Gyulafehérvár, Gergely Kovács.
