The fact that the left received several hundred million forints for its campaign from an American organization linked to György Soros raises several questions, said István Hollik, Fidesz's communications director, on Thursday.

The politician explained: "we've known for days" that the left received hundreds of millions of forints from abroad for its campaign from an American organization linked to György Soros. In addition to the fact that the left clearly circumvented the campaign laws, the case raises many questions, he assessed.

He highlighted: perhaps one of the most important questions is what György Soros asked for in return for these hundreds of millions of forints. "No one seriously thinks that the businessman just gave hundreds of millions of forints to the left, " he said.

István Hollik stated: György Soros supports the war and European sanctions, so the question arises whether György Soros's campaign support has anything to do with the fact that the left of Péter Márki-Zay and Ferenc Gyurcsány clearly takes a pro-war and sanctions-supporting stance both in to this day.

"We expect the captain and the boss, i.e. Péter Márki-Zay and Ferenc Gyurcsány" to answer these questions, the politician stated.
