I was very surprised by the way Ambassador David Pressman introduced himself. What kind of violations will you find in Hungary? Who is being oppressed here? The Democratic Party has been using Hungary as a slapping machine for the past thirty years, since the Clinton era, says in our interview Alex Hemingway, an American businessman living in Budapest and Los Angeles, who was the president of the Republicans living in our country until their organization merged into another one.
Hemingway said in Magyar Nemzet's interview with him that "we are optimistic about the mid-term elections and then the 2024 presidential election. Now in November, we will win the House of Representatives elections, maybe the Senate elections as well. Joe Biden is a literal disaster, but so is his running mate, Kamala Harris. Even according to the most subtle assessment, we are taking a step back with their leadership. We also discredit ourselves on the international stage, and what goes on at home also leaves something to be desired. For example, inflation has run wild. We are deepening the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, we are waging a proxy war (i.e. our own war, on the external stage - ed.). Who supplies weapons to the Ukrainians? Especially us Germans and Poles. It would be best if we left room for peace negotiations.
The Democratic Party, which has come under the influence of the extreme left, the woke ideology, pushes everything to extremes. They magnify everything, make a fuss. Politics is the perfect opposite of this: the ability to discuss things with each other. Seventy million Americans voted for Trump. Now would they be enemies too? This is crazy. Anyway, I think Biden doesn't quite believe what he's saying.
According to Hemingway, Orbán's speech in Dallas was excellent. He sees very clearly that Hungary is the Texas of Europe, an island on the continent that is built on Christian values. He is aware that family-oriented politics does make sense even if the majority of the European political elite does not follow this direction today.
Take the Child Protection Act. I have three children. I'm almost certain that when I went to school in America, someone in the family would have kicked me out if they talked to me about transsexuality there. Since when is it extreme to act against this? A dwarf minority forces its things on us. The school is there to impart knowledge, not to raise my child for me. It is my right and duty to convey my values to them. Don't let a twenty-year-old teaching force impose its own on them!
According to Hemingway, Viktor Orbán clearly laid the foundations for a different kind of Europe. I believe
that he encounters so much resistance not because he is extreme, but because what he says is so attractive - and not only to Hungarians.
In America, we were also made dizzy by saying, for example, that there are the Scandinavians or the Germans, who are so great, but we, the Republicans, are backward, moving against the grain of history. And here comes someone like Orbán in Europe, who slaps this whole argument in the face, namely in the name of universal Christian and family values that have developed over a thousand years. All existing data support, for example, that the most favorable educational environment is a two-parent household. No one questioned this until recently. Let's stop playing hypocritical equality!
David Pressman said about the new American ambassador in Budapest:
I strongly disagree with the idea that the United States should not interfere in the affairs of other countries. Like it or not, we are the gendarmes of the world - that's a fact. As the world's only superpower, this is also our responsibility. I myself support the US taking action against abuses in Iraq, Iran, Somalia, Thailand or elsewhere. For example, in Ukraine.
But the situation is that Hungary is not on the same level as these countries. Does anyone come here with a head of steam as if they arrived in Myanmar? Absurd. What kind of violations will you find? Who is being oppressed here? I was very impressed with the way Pressman introduced himself.
The Democratic Party has been using Hungary as a slapping machine for the past thirty years, since the Clinton era. Your country is big enough to be a nice fat target, but not big enough to be a real problem. Think about it, when György Soros writes a check to, say, Hillary Clinton, he adds a political message to it.
This is how it works in informal circles. Nevertheless, Hungary needs the United States. Financially too. That investors hear from the American government that they should invest here, Alex Hemingway concluded his thoughts.
