On Sunday, September 11, the audience can meet the poems of Hungarian poets set to music by contemporary composers under the title Hungarian song day at Vigado in Pest.
The song evening of the Department of Music of the Hungarian Academy of Arts (MMA) is organized at the Imre Sinkovits Chamber Stage of the MMA headquarters with the participation of many popular artists.
According to the MMA announcement, poems by Jenő Dsida, Géza Gárdonyi, Laura Iancu, Attila József, Ágnes Judit Kiss, Miklós Radnóti, Margit Szécsi, Géza Szőcs, Albert Wass and Sándor Weöres will be performed on the evening.
Bernadett Wiedemann, singers Nóra Tatai and Viktor Papp, actor Péter Benkő and pianist Márta Nagy, editor of the show, will participate.
Hungarian Song Day started in 2008. In Budapest, every year since 2018, the Pesti Vigadó has served as the home of the series, with the participation of singers, actors and instrumental musicians known for the series, composers from the last century and today from the 19th and 20th centuries. with his songs composed to the poems of Hungarian poets of the 19th century.
