In the case of Brussels, unfortunately, it has been proven that it cannot be counted on, and that only nations can protect their citizens - stated Milán Pálfalvi, an analyst at the Nézőpont Institute, when contacted by Origo. According to Pálfalvi, now is the time for Europe to follow the Hungarian example. He added: it is increasingly certain that a difficult winter awaits the continent.

The analyst said: the effect of the sanctions expected by Brussels could not occur not only according to the rules of logic. The Hungarian government drew attention to the brutal consequences of restricting Russian oil and gas in our country.

AS IF THEY DROPPED AN ATOMIC BOMB ON THE HUNGARIAN ECONOMY. THIS IS HAPPENING NOW IN OTHER COUNTRIES IN EUROPE.

If the EU countries do not buy gas from Russia and in the meantime do not ensure adequate replacement of the lost energy source, then the problem is over. It is no wonder that the public views this situation with confusion, since it was difficult for us to imagine that German factories would shut down one after the other due to the wrong decision of their government. It's happening right here in front of our eyes. This has been the logical explanation so far, but there is another reason why sanctions don't work. And this is that

THE POLITICAL DECISION-MAKERS IN BRUSSELS AND IN THE WESTERN ARE DETACHED FROM REALITY, THEY ARE NOT CLEAR OF THE REAL ISSUES OF EVERY DAY. YOU CANNOT WARM UP WITH IDEOLOGY.

In Hungary, the government led by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and thanks to the work of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó does not make the people pay for the sanctions, but on the contrary uses all possible means to mitigate the negative, global and sanctioning effects. The fact that Péter Szijjártó has reached an agreement with the Russian side increases the security of our energy supply. This is not an ideological question, but simply about whether there will be something to heat in the winter. This is the most rational possible answer to the question and not the sanctions. This difference, by the way, stems from the fact that the Parliament represents the voters here, and does not want to serve foreign interests.

To the question that the Gyurcsánys are endangering the energy supply and utility reduction with their irresponsible and dangerous policy, because they are attacking utility reduction at home, and Mrs. Gyurcsány is lobbying in Brussels to prevent Hungary from receiving EU funds, the analyst replied:

Billions of dollars in campaign support came from America for the left to overthrow the Hungarian government in April. This effort has not stopped, Hungary is a thorn under the claws of the Western world, since the Hungarian interest is represented by the government, as opposed to globalist interests. Wherever possible, in domestic and foreign policy, Ferenc Gyurcsány or Klára Dobrev weaken our country.

Pálfalvi also touched on the fact that, unfortunately, we have reason to fear those people in the West who cannot do anything about their governments' bad decisions.

Since the outbreak of the war, the governments that follow the failed policy of Brussels have worsened the situation of families with each sanction. Our country is trying to avoid this.

This is why the Hungarian government has consistently said from the beginning that peace is the only solution that cannot be achieved with sanctions. And in this matter, it has unfortunately proven that Brussels cannot be counted on, and that only nations can protect their citizens. Now is the time for Europe to follow Hungary's example! It is increasingly certain that a difficult winter awaits them.
