"We are ready to implement global effective minimum taxation in 2023 and by all possible legal means"
- declared the governments of France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and France.
" If unanimity is not achieved in the coming weeks, our governments are fully determined to honor our commitment," said the finance ministers of the five governments in a joint statement, sending a clear message to the Hungarian government.
We are ready to implement global effective minimum taxation in 2023 and by all possible legal means," they added.
In light of this, it is particularly interesting that Finance Minister Mihály Varga is currently at the ECOFIN meeting in Prague. Based on the pictures recently uploaded to his Facebook page, he was negotiating with Christian Lindner. Presumably, the issue of the global minimum tax was also on the agenda of the hearing.
