Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced on Wednesday in New York .
According to the statement of the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Affairs (KKM), the Minister of Economy and Foreign Affairs underlined at the donor conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine held as part of this year's UN General Assembly that one and a half million refugees have arrived in Hungary so far, and the authorities provide jobs for parents who wish to stay, education and health care for their children.
He reported that at the beginning of September, more than four thousand Ukrainian children started kindergarten or school in Hungary, in about 1,250 institutions, and that the authorities are doing everything to overcome language barriers.
The head of the ministry announced that Hungary is ready for the complete reconstruction of a bombed-out school and a medical clinic in the Kyiv region. According to his information, the latter is also located in a multi-functional building that also houses the local government and the post office, the KKM wrote.
The government also offered 1,000 scholarship places for refugee students in Hungarian higher education institutions and undertook special medical care for 130 children

In his speech, Péter Szijjártó also highlighted that, as a neighbor of Ukraine, the negative effects of the war can be clearly and directly felt in Hungary, which is why the country is extremely interested in ending the armed conflict as soon as possible.
He pointed out that
a more appropriate and broader platform for negotiations on the promotion of the peace process can hardly be imagined than the UN General Assembly.
He added that, therefore, the government will also judge the effectiveness of the series of meetings based on whether it brought them closer to creating peace in Ukraine.
