The Józsefváros representative body has decided that free parking for residents will cease from 2023. Facebook page Színes Erzsébetváros reported on the decision.
Adapting to the renewed parking zones in the capital, residential parking permits in Józsefváros are determined based on the "A", "B" and "C" zones in the district, the site added.
Those who live in the "A" zone pay 30,000 forints per apartment per year for their first car, 24,000 forints in the "B" zone, and 18,000 forints in the "C" zone.
Resident parking permits can now be requested for two cars per apartment, instead of per resident until now - informed the residents of the district VIII. district municipality. The annual parking fee for a second car will be 75,000, 60,000 or 45,000 forints, depending on the residential parking zone, they explained.
