The "rainbow portal" of the German Ministry of Family Affairs enlightened minors about the possibility of medication that inhibits their development.
Die Welt reports : Former German Minister of Family Affairs Franziska Giffey introduced the transgender issue to the affected families in a brochure with such a guide that there are little girls who hunt, play soccer, climb trees and collect scratches - and in this connection she asked the question: "Can , that your child is transgender?”
The "Rainbow Portal", which operates under the auspices of the German Ministry of Family Affairs, also published an informative article aimed at children about the fact that minors who are unsure of their gender identity can also take puberty-blocking pills.
In the bold and simply worded message, they explained:
if you are still very young, if you are not yet a teenager, you can take puberty blockers,
which is a 'special' drug and makes sure you don't start puberty.
"This means your body is not progressing. They don't grow either. Nor for a man. That way you have more time to think. And then you can think about it: which body suits you."
Welt reports that the text was changed in the meantime, and now it also states that only doctors can decide on the need for a puberty blocker.
Although the text has been read on the "rainbow portal" for a long time, in connection with the scandal that has now broken out because of this, the German Ministry of Family Affairs remembered to state: the German government does not recommend the collection of puberty blockers.
