The state treasury will pay more than HUF 240 billion in extra money to pensioners in November. About one and a half million people who requested the transfer to a bank account will receive their allowance on November 11, informed András Tállai.

In addition to pensioners, recipients of disability and rehabilitation benefits, orphans' benefits, widow's pensions, accident and disability pensions can also count on the extra money, so this fall, around 2.5 million people will receive an extra amount under two legal titles, the state secretary concluded.

The supplementary pension increase and the pension premium will be received in the two transfers on November 11, together with the regular monthly allowance, for those who requested the payment of their allowance to a bank account. And those who chose postal delivery can collect the amount due to them from the postman on the usual calendar day - stressed András Tállai.

The state secretary said that the amount of the additional increase is HUF 217 billion. He recalled that the government already raised pensions by five percent at the beginning of the year. Due to the war, the sanctioned energy crisis and the resulting inflation, the government carried out a mid-year pension adjustment, which increased pensions by an additional 3.9 percent from July to January.

In November, all this will be followed by a 4.5 percent increase. The additional pension increase will be paid by the state treasury retroactively to January, and those affected will also receive the correction of the 13th month's pension and benefits. The additional increase will be included in the amount of the benefit, so the pension or benefit with the increased amount will also arrive in December - detailed András Tállai.

Thanks to economic growth, there will be a pension premium again this year. The treasury will pay a total of HUF 23.5 billion to those entitled under this title, explained András Tállai.

According to him, everyone involved with a pension of at least HUF 80,000 can count on a ten thousand HUF pension premium. The State Secretary stated that the pension premium is available to all persons receiving a pension-like benefit, that is, the benefit will not be available only to those receiving old-age pension benefits.
