More than seventy Hungarian cinemas will screen the all-night Toldi from October 20

On the eve of Jankovics Marcell's birthday, on October 20, Toldi, the last work of the master of Hungarian animation, will be released in cinemas. A hundred creators of Kecskemétfilm Kft. worked on the film adaptation of János Arany's narrative poem for more than three years. The M5 cultural channel produced a feature film about the extraordinary creative process, which will also be shown by Duna TV on October 21.

The film diary gives an insight into how Marcell Jankovics translated his knowledge of cultural history into the language of animation, and into the process of reinterpreting the formal language of the original work, so that the Toldi story is presented in an understandable and experiential way even for the youngest generation.
