The Hungarian-hating Brussels politician wanted to attack the national consultation, but he spoiled even that.
Guy Verhofstadt, who has been constantly inciting Hungarians in the European Parliament since 2010, wanted to attack the national consultation, but instead of the official government image, he posted a joke of the dog party - with great indignation.
“Outrageous: the Hungarian government is telling its citizens that the EU is killing them… while actively supporting the terrorist Putin. How long are we going to leave this?” - writes the Hungarian-hating politician with great indignation.
Of course, all of this is a lie, although the government really points out in connection with the national consultation that the failed EU sanctions do not hurt Russia, but Europe, including the Hungarians. The war started by the Russians was condemned by the Hungarian government at the beginning, but they also declared that they would fight against it so that the price of the war and the sanctions would be paid by the Hungarian families. This is what the current national consultation is about: seven questions about the Brussels sanctions.
Guy Verhofstadt is obviously aware of this, but he has been campaigning against the Hungarians since 2010, so his outburst is not surprising either.
What finally makes his attack on the national consultation really ridiculous is that he did not add the official graphic of the Hungarian government to the text, but the joke poster of the dog party. In other words, he had no idea what he was posting.
Here is the official poster of the Hungarian government:
