Renewed XII. Hollósy Simon Street playground in the district, where children can play with uniquely designed, wooden, handcrafted toys in an environment reminiscent of the reform era. Games designed on the basis of the Chain Bridge, the Cogwheel and the Kisfaludy steamboat await the children.

The residents of the neighborhood were involved in the development of the Reform-era Széchenyi playground, and the playground was designed based on their opinions and observations. The surface of the more than 2,000-square-meter playground was completely renewed, and the concrete slabs, stairs, and cobblestones were removed.

There are fourteen uniquely designed games, a climbing frame with a slide, a rubber-covered track for foot-powered small motorbikes, and a ping-pong table await the older ones.

The games are connected to the cultural, technical and historical heritage of the Hegyvidék, as there are games designed based on the Chain Bridge, the gear wheel or the Kisfaludy steamboat.

Steamboat

With the help of the special play equipment, the children can discover the pioneering architectural and technical history of the Reformation, such as the operation of the paddle wheel in the case of the steamboat, and the rack and pinion in the case of the rack and pinion.

The green surface of the playground was renewed and eight trees and approximately 3,500 shrubs were planted. There is a separate rest area for adults, toilets and drinking fountains have been installed, and public lighting has also been modernized.
