The conservative interest protection organization CitizenGO is protesting with a petition after a lesbian couple is shown as the parents of a polar bear in the episode "Families" of the Peppa Pig fairy tale series, which has been running for eighteen years. Magyar Nemzet , the organization is concerned that the story tells children that the family model depicted is completely natural.
As it was written, in the episode in question - which was recently shown in England - children can get to know a new character, Peppa's new friend, Penny the polar bear, who talks about her family like this:
"I live with my mom and my other mom. One mother is a doctor, the other cooks spaghetti. And I really like spaghetti."
According to CitizenGO, the goal of the LGBTQ lobby is obvious: they want to destroy the certainty in the minds of children that a family consists of a father and a mother, and that a mother and a father are needed for a child to be born.
This time, however, their action went too far, as they expose the youngest age group, two- or three-year-old children, to openly sexual and ideological content, they underline.
That is why the organization asks the managers of the M2 Petőfi TV and Nick Jr. TV channels, the distributors of Peppa Pig and the creators of its official YouTube channel to spare them now and in the future, keeping in mind the protection and innocence of Hungarian children and the domestic child protection legislation from future LGBTQ-sensitizing episodes of Peppa Pig.
The portal also recalled that a kiss scene between two girls recently took place in the series of the animated cartoon Jurassic World: Cretaceous Camp running on Netflix, and before that a character who had two fathers appeared in the Ridley Jones fairy tale. Meanwhile, aiming to sensitize children, the first transgender Barbie was launched, one of the world's most famous toy makers, and Lego launched LGBTQ-themed toys.
