The program of the EP's education and culture committee's visit to Budapest next week belongs to the ranks of European absurdity and political nonsense, said Tamás Deutsch, head of the Fidesz European Parliament (EP) delegation. The EP committee November 2–4. visits Hungary between

Tamás Deutsch said in his press conference about the EP committee's visit next week: the compilation of the program was based on a tendentious, preconceived notion, and not a single element of the program proposed by the Hungarian side was included in advance, all such initiatives were "swept" off the table. He added: in response to the letter addressed to him, the people's German chairman of the committee called the program perfectly balanced.

The Fidesz politician called the visit of the specialist committee a "miracle mission", since in Budapest they will meet the leaders of the CEU, about which they have been "mantrating" for years that they were forced out of the Hungarian capital, and that there is no CEU here. According to him, a miracle happened because they are coming now and will meet the active leaders of the active CEU. At the same time, he pointed out that visiting a model-changing university "no longer fit" into the program of the visit.

He noted: the "fact-finding committee" can meet with the Free SZFE "experts", but not with the representatives of the University of Theater and Film. He also drew attention to the fact that representatives of Direkt 36, Telex, Index, Tilos Rádió, Klubrádió, Mérték Médiaműhely and Euronews will be present.

If SZDSZ existed and held a liberal journalist forum, a meeting would only be more diverse than this

Tamás Deutsch explained. He recalled that they meet eleven people from the artistic world who are representatives of "even more alternative than alternative theater workshops", but there is "no way or possibility" to meet a director who runs a stone theater. According to him, after this, it will not be a big surprise what conclusions their report will contain.

The politician put it this way: the practice that the EP regularly follows in relation to Hungary, Poland, and occasionally other Central and Eastern European countries, destroying and undermining European cooperation, is unworthy and offensive. He explained: to support the "false accusations invented and spread" by the left-wing majority, the EP constantly sends investigating delegations to these countries. He emphasized: they behave as if they were a prosecutor's organization, a tax office or some kind of criminal investigation authority, which, due to the well-founded suspicion of a crime, should act urgently, making suggestive allegations.

The procedure is also undignified and insulting because the European Parliament and the Union are not Hungary's superior body

- stated Tamás Deutsch, emphasizing: partnership relations must be established with all member states, the principle of loyal cooperation must be followed. He added: this behavior is harsher than what the colonial centers showed towards their colonies far from them 100-150 years ago.

He also spoke about the fact that the current investigation concerns topics that are purely within the jurisdiction of the member states, such as education or cultural development programs.

He stated: They have just as much to do with the education system of Tűzföld as with the Spanish one, in comparison

they come here, speak in, speak down, criticize, accuse, constantly state untruths and lies.

According to the politician, the left-wing majority of the EP is in a "state of political frenzy" because for many years, with the active participation of the Hungarian left, they invested all their energy into ending the political cold war with Hungary and Poland and depriving the two countries of all EU development resources. . He pointed out: this endeavor seems to be running aground, negotiations towards an agreement are ongoing.
