In the midst of the war and the energy crisis, two specialist committees of the EP held hearings on the issue of not considering transgenderism as a medical disorder throughout the EU.
On October 27, the European Parliament's Committee on Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI) and the Committee on Citizens' Rights, Home Affairs and Justice (LIBE) held a hearing on the issue of how transgender should no longer be a category of health pathologisation as a result of the lobby of transgender and non-binary people. .
The lobby would be considered the ideal solution if no more
a psychiatric diagnosis would not be necessary for those affected to receive sex-changing hormone therapy,
or change their gender surgically. In other words, they demand that these modifying interventions take place solely on the basis of the patient's right to self-determination and with a well-considered intention.
They believe that by registering transgenderism and similar mental conditions as illnesses, discrimination is taking place, as the right of self-determination of those affected is being violated.
The LIBE-ENVI committees of the European Parliament tried to embrace this lobbying activity by organizing a two-hour hearing on the topic. The trans lobby
expects the European Parliament to exert political pressure on the member states to ensure that the above-mentioned change takes place everywhere.
By the way, Anna Grodzka, a representative of the Polish parliament in our highlighted picture, was married before she changed gender, and is the father of a son.
