Sanctions also imposed by the Gyurcsánys must be abolished to stop the price rise - commented the statement of Ferenc Dávid (DK) of the major government party on Wednesday, in which the opposition politician urged the temporary abolition of VAT on basic foodstuffs.

Inflation and price increases are caused by the Brussels sanctions, which are slavishly supported by the entire Hungarian left in exchange for rolling dollars. Due to the sanctions, inflation, energy and food prices skyrocketed all over Europe, wrote Fidesz in a statement sent to MTI. They added: the sanctions imposed by the Gyurcsánys must be abolished in order to stop the price rise.

The Hungarian people are protected by unique measures from sanctioned price increases: the Hungarian population has the lowest prices for gas and electricity, and now the price cap will also come into effect for additional foodstuffs, the ruling party pointed out. It was announced: The Gyurcsánys did not vote for any measures to protect Hungarian families and pensioners, neither the price caps nor the utility reduction.

2022 plus:

The left-liberal opposition is never bothered by the facts - or they are very bothered, so they pretend they don't exist. Inflation and runaway prices are clearly due to the current sanctions policy of the EU, as evidenced by the simple fact that as soon as the planning of the 9th sanctions package was mentioned, the price of gas on the world market skyrocketed again. You can say that there is no connection between the two things, but that is just not true. The unlimitedly rising energy carrier prices - you don't even need economic knowledge for this, just common sense - are logically integrated into production, transport, and all services. Of course, it is more than likely that all this is due not only to economic constraints, but also to the unbridled desire to make a profit.

It can even be argued that left-liberal expertise would handle this situation better than the civilian government, the problem with this assertion is that it has already been handled once. And in an expert manner, they almost bankrupted the country. Thanks, but we would like to avoid this somehow.
