In the EY ranking, our country also surpassed countries such as Germany, Austria and the United States of America. In their report, they highlighted that the corporate tax rate in Hungary is the lowest among the OECD countries, and they also assessed the 15 percent flat rate personal income tax as a strength, Mihály Varga wrote on his social media page.

The Minister of Finance reminded:

This is the second recognition of the Hungarian tax system this month: Eurostat announced last week that Hungary ranked first in the EU tax reduction ranking.

In our country, the tax burden in proportion to GDP improved to 34 percent in 2021, while the EU average is close to 42 percent.

This year, the government reduced employer taxes by HUF 600 billion, and next year it will reduce tax administration further. This can further improve Hungary's competitiveness and strengthen the investments flowing into our country , the minister wrote.
