The series of community events started with the above name, at several stations of which the Christian music group CRUX plays music. This is what happened at the most recent glorification event held in the Ipolyság Reformed Church, which was the eleventh stop of the series. In addition to singing together, community events are about deepening faith and glorifying God.

The event on November 12 began with a short prayer by Jónás Izsmán, the Reformed pastor of Ipolyság. On the occasion, in addition to the band CRUX, there was also a musical service by the local praise band.

The Glorifying Highlands music service series has traveled almost the entire Highlands in recent months. As Gábor Sikula, the guitarist of the band CRUX, told Felvidék.ma: "The initiative started back in 2020, we had a performance then. However, the epidemic situation did not allow us to continue. After a postponement, we started again in February this year."

"The goal of the Upland Praise Community is to gather and unite the glorifying occasions of the Upland Hungarian communities, to support the work of Upland praise bands and thereby build the Hungarian Christian folk music culture in the Upland," he added.

He noted: "We believe that in the glorification experienced in the community, we can create a brotherhood across generations and denominations that strengthens our belonging and our love for each other. We believe that glorifying prayer can be an important part of the spiritual life of all of us, both on an individual and community level."

Major events are realized by connecting Hungarian communities. The musical occasions have an ecumenical spirit. They connect the individual denominations, glorifying God together, he noted.

At each station of the series, several teams provide musical services. In addition to the CRUX ensemble, local and Christian light music ensembles from around the given station will perform.

Among the stations of the Dicőítő Felvidék, in addition to Ipolyság, we find, among others, Diósförgepatony, Komárom, Érsekújvár, Rimaszombat, Kassa, Királyhelmec, Nagykapos, as well as Pered and Egyházfá.

"We are trying to get in touch with the Hungarian glorification teams operating throughout the Highlands," stated Gábor Sikula.

In addition to making happy music together, they also have other plans. They started a YouTube channel, where they present the individual glorification teams in short films. The first introductory videos are available on the Digsőító Felvidék channel. Such formations are important because they mobilize the communities, who strengthen their faith together through glorification, believes the coordinator of the series.

The next stop of the series will be on December 17 at the Péli cultural center. More details about the events can be found on the community page of the Digsőtítő Felvidék and on the website of the CRUX group.
