The report presented by Green MEP Gwendoline Delbos-Corfield is a barrage of abuse. It is both detailed and confusing; shows a shocking bias and bad faith towards forms of legal correction.

The European Parliament's offensive against Hungary is not new, but circumstances have changed. The war in Ukraine is now confronting European countries with much greater difficulties. This does not reduce the punitive fervor of the European Parliament. Hardships do not encourage solidarity, but serve to put more federalist and progressive pressure on cornered nations. As Saint-Just proclaimed during the revolution that "there is no freedom for the enemies of freedom", today the ruling elite says that "there is no rule of law for the enemies of the rule of law".

Such an attitude indicates deep-rooted evil. By making Hungary a deterrent example, the Parliament gives a sinister caricature of Europe and makes the EU a terrible entity. This trend is slowly depriving the EU of its legitimacy and calling for an alternative model. Hungary's responsibility is enormous: the timeliness of an alternative European model depends on its exemplary behavior. History accelerates and the time may come sooner than we think.”
