The Basic Law of Hungary is ten years old. In the 10-year study volume titled Basic Law prepared for the anniversary and presented today at the National University of Public Service, in addition to the speeches of Viktor Orbán's festive greeter, László Kövér, Judit Varga and László Trócsányi, many distinguished representatives of Hungarian jurisprudence, such as István Stumpf, András Zs. Varga and András Koltay, his writings can also be read - pointed out Balázs Orbán, the political director of the prime minister, on his Facebook page on Friday.

Balázs Orbán explained that in his study published in the volume, he explored the new quality created by the Basic Law, which often provokes sharp public debates, which lies in the fact that Hungarian constitutionalism, identity and the values that mediate them are an integral part of the Basic Law. Thus, for example, it is important to emphasize the role of history, the importance of the family and the nation, as well as the general principles that form the basis of specific public policies: the support of work, the protection of children and families.

All of this lends a special character to our constitutional order, because while meeting modern expectations, it synthesizes these principles and values with our historical and national traditions. In the age of uncertainty, wars and migrations, this saturation of values confirms us in our place in the world. This is what the Basic Law has been expressing for the 10th year now - pointed out Balázs Orbán.
