Everything must be done in order for Hungary to be able to stay out of the European Union sanctions affecting gas and nuclear energy, so it is important that as many people as possible fill out the national consultation, either in written or online form. Let's show together that Hungary will not give up! - said the director of communications of Fidesz in his video statement on Saturday.
According to István Hollik, Brussels is desperately trying to prove that the sanctions are working, while the opposite is true.
He added: Brussels proves that the sanctions are working because they are already preparing the ninth sanctions package, which poses a threat to Hungary's gas supply and the use of nuclear energy.
He put it this way: Brussels refuses to face reality. At a time when the whole of Europe is suffering from inflation, member states are introducing austerity measures one after the other and economic analysts are writing about a European recession, the European Commission is convincing the European population on social media that the sanctions are effective and working well.
Brussels is not willing to admit to the Europeans that they made a mistake by announcing the sanctions policy and especially by including energy in the sanctions system - István Hollik stressed.
It is no coincidence that Washington is not talking about a quick end to the war, but about punishing Russia.
Sanctions cause damage to Europe, and every European citizen can feel this on their own skin when they go shopping in the store or check their utility bill, emphasized István Hollik.
He stated: Brussels' claim that the sanctions are working is contrary to the European and Hungarian people's perception of reality. Because skyrocketing utility prices, sanctioned inflation, supply problems and economic decline characterize Europe.
István Hollik asked the Hungarians to send a message to Brussels together: no matter how hard they prove the opposite, the sanctions are not working, they are causing damage to Europe and Hungary.
