After one year, the Berlin Constitutional Court classified the 2021 elections as invalid because it found serious systemic deficiencies. According to the ruling, the elections must be called again in all Berlin voting districts - Irén Rab begins his opinion article in Magyar Hírlap.

We still remember well when this spring, the Hungarian opposition coalition, concerned about the integrity of the elections, recruited activists into the vote-counting committees. This is how they wanted to prevent the possible manipulations of the people of the ruling party. Twenty thousand volunteers registered for the 20k22 (Twenty thousand for a clean election in 2022) team. "Report if you experience election abuse!" – this was the slogan, and they spared no time and energy, searched ten thousand polling stations and tried to expose suspicious situations. In the end, the determined volunteers of 20k22 were disappointed to find that no one cheated, and if they weren't there, no one would have cheated. Voters and vote-takers are also honest people, and they have no intention of cheating.

The democratic world was also concerned about the purity of the elections. The OSCE sent nine hundred independent international observers, who monitored every moment of the campaign and the suspected abuses for two months, so that they could strike the right blow at the Hungarian hybrid regime in due time. They left unfinished business, despite their international experience, they did not succeed in exposing the fraud either. They were able to establish that the Hungarian elections fall short of well-proven practice according to international standards.

What can be a practice that meets the standards is clearly visible in the United States and recently in Germany as well. The Berlin Constitutional Court found so many irregularities in connection with the 2021 elections that it declared the House of Representatives and District Assembly elections invalid in all electoral districts. Erroneous, missing or photocopied ballots, too few ballot boxes, waiting times of several hours, temporary closing of polling stations or keeping them open beyond time, we could list the irregularities in Berlin for a long time. The court found serious systemic deficiencies that affected the acquisition of mandates and thus the composition of the Berlin parliament. They didn't say it, but everyone knows it's to the left.

Berlin is not only the capital of Germany, but also an independent federal (city) state, with a red-red-green, i.e. completely left-wing, senate. It was their job to organize the elections and the many irregularities would also be their responsibility. The elections for the Bundestag, the Berlin House of Representatives and the district assembly were held at the same time, referring to thrift and the epidemic, and this was topped off with a referendum on the nationalization of the Berlin housing cooperatives. The voting age is not the same: adult citizens received all ballots, but those over 16 only had the option of district elections. Thanks to the superficiality of the committees, however, many young people received ballots that did not belong to them. It is no wonder that they sold out quickly, so in some places the creative committees replaced the missing ballots with photocopies. After a while, it became impossible to track who voted properly and who didn't. It's lucky that the dead in Berlin haven't voted yet.

Adding to the chaos was the fact that the Berlin Marathon was held on the same day. About fifty thousand people from a hundred countries ran through the city. Anyone who has even been at home in Berlin knows very well that the marathon paralyzes the city, roads are closed, and transportation is impossible. The polling stations along the route of the marathon somehow received few ballots in the first place, and the supply was delayed due to road closures. The ballot papers of the districts were also somehow mixed up. Neither the election committee nor the voters noticed that they were not voting for candidates from their district. Such coincidences do not happen by accident. The method of creating chaos is easy to learn, there are manuals and it is taught in activist political seminars.

Irregularities were already noticeable on the day of the election, the smell of scandal spread in the air, but it evaporated after a few weeks. It took more than a year, after dozens of complaints, until the court declared the fact of fraud and ordered the election to be repeated within ninety days. Part of the cleansing process is that they now want to repeat the Bundestag elections covering the whole of Berlin. However, it is not so easy, you have to run a few more laps with it. The mandates won in 2021 will remain in the legislature until then.

Normally, the city administration should have assessed the situation in advance and prepared for the expected difficulties, but it didn't even occur to them. Just as it does not occur to the senator responsible for internal affairs or the mayoress that they should resign after such a scandal. Franziska Giffey - known for her plagiarized doctoral dissertation - accepted the court verdict on behalf of the Senate and assured everyone that her government would not appeal. It seems that a global leftist trait is to smear things and be inconsequential.

No one screamed at the OSCE or in the European Parliament when they heard what happened in Berlin, because it is an inherent part of democracy. Rule of law problems did not even arise in Brussels. Anyway, if they cheat in the right direction, it surely serves a good purpose. They don't even have to regret it, they will forgive them without it. To expand the leftist repertoire, we could also recommend the blue tag method, which was already proven in 1947.
