Every year, the Rákóczi Association addresses 22,000 Hungarian-speaking kindergarten students during the Advent period with a symbolic gift, a message and arguments encouraging parents to choose a Hungarian school. Of these, more than 700 gifts arrived in Gömör.

The Rákóczi Association organized a festive Advent event in Gömör for the kindergarten leaders of Rimaszombat and its surroundings, during which the institution leaders could receive the kindergarten gift packages for their kindergarten students. There are 26 kindergartens in the area.

On November 28, Katica Varga, a member of the Transcarpathian poetry group Credo, gave a concert in the Csillagház in Rimaszombat.
