The importance of art education was already discussed by ancient authors, without it we cannot grow into a person with a sound and healthy soul. Fortunately, art education in Hungary and in the Hungarian-speaking region is carried out by many excellent professionals. Three of them and two creative workshops were awarded Certificates of Recognition on December 5 by the Hungarian Academy of Arts.

"Getting to know the arts and practicing them, especially in childhood, is essential for personality development. This is confirmed by numerous researches," said György Vashegyi, president of the Hungarian Academy of Arts (MMA), on December 5 at the ceremony at which, based on the academy's decision, teachers and communities with outstanding performance in the field of art education were awarded for the sixth time. The president added: "With our recognition, we also want to prove the truth of this recognition, as well as recognize the high-quality work done in this area."

This year's first recognition was awarded to dr. It was taken over by Zsolt Acél, a Piarist monk and high school teacher who graduated from the Faculty of Humanities at ELTE, and who soon devoted himself to ancient science. According to the eulogy, he easily translates spirituality and the love of classical culture into the language of today's youth, for which the Piarist students of Kecskemét, Vác and Budapest are extremely grateful.

"I don't have any special methods for this," he confessed with a smile to Magyar Hírlap's interest. - All I can say is that the literature on ancient history, old Hungarian literature, is extremely exciting. If a person has time to read a lot and research in many languages, then once the dead matter becomes alive, and the child simply begins to feel that his brain is constantly running. All I do is translate a text and invite him into it. We become part of the joint work. I don't know if this corresponds to modern pedagogy, but I find that if I say "look, this research is not yet available in Hungarian, let's try it together", then it is really exciting for all of us.

- Not so long ago, classical culture was part of general education, of course it influenced everyday life. But how is it now?

- In the past few days, we have been dealing with my students by showing them in a literature textbook where there are clearly wrong references and references - explained Dr. Steel Ps. - It is appropriate to refer to antiquity, but there are many mistakes due to the lack of real knowledge. In addition, a new fashion can be observed: expressions translated into Hungarian, believed to be Latin or Greek, which actually mean nothing, are leaking from Anglo-Saxon territory. In our work, it is also an important result to point out the nonsense of these "re-Latinized" words. There is a lack of linguistic discipline, and it is questionable whether those who use such words do not want to assert anything, or are they actually cowards for it? Revealing such a thing can be an experience for an older student.
