Let's clarify something at the beginning: the original sin is clearly that in 2010, 22 members of the FIFA Executive Committee awarded Qatar the right to host the World Cup.
To a country of three million people, in which women are really very unequal, where homosexuality is a punishable act, it is not proper, it is not right to award the right to host the World Cup. It just doesn't. Just like North Korea, I don't think it could get the right to settle.
FIFA, which so wonderfully stands up for rainbow rights, which watched with lustful joy as Englishmen and Germans kneel or put on rainbow armbands at the Puskás Arena in the ugly, homophobic, anti-LGBTQ and anti-gender ideology Hungary, simply gives a World Cup for an Islamic, Wahhabi country where human rights, so important to FIFA, are really trampled on every day.
This is a joke...
It was bad to read what Mr. Infantino was saying before the start of the World Cup about the fact that he is Qatari, African, gay, Arab, etc. at the same time. You could think about what it would mean for him if he seriously boasted that he was gay in Qatar, Doha...
On the other hand, he said something about how Europeans have done evil things for 3000 years, so all they can do now is to apologize for 3000 years, not teach moral lessons. Well, this is the true critical race theory (a theory of critical racism that posits white men as the main villains of the world, going back thousands of years), even cancel culture (the culture of cancellation), so the old boy learned a lot from the movements mocked as progressive.
But I will not continue, because Mr. Infantino has found himself in a situation that is intolerable, unmanageable, and inexplicable in itself.
So let's clarify what is in the background, what is this whole circus about!
Former FIFA president Sepp Blatter, 86, who was acquitted of corruption charges, told the Tages Anzeiger: “Choosing Qatar was a mistake. That year, in the executive committee, we agreed that the 2018 World Cup will be held by Russia, and the 2022 one by the United States. It would have been a gesture of peace if the two old political opponents had organized the World Cup one after the other."
But why did Qatar come up anyway?
Blatter said. Before the decision at that time, Michel Platini, the president of UEFA at the time, called him and told him that president Sárkozy had ordered (!) that the World Cup be held in Qatar. He was also invited to the presidential palace, where Sarkozy was having lunch with the Qatari crown prince. Apparently, the heir to the throne went there by accident...
So it happened that, for some reason, the decision fell on Qatar. So that's how it happened.
After that, however, enlightenment came: Half a year later, Qatar bought fighter jets from France for 14.6 billion dollars.
President Sarkozy, a big thank you on behalf of all soccer fans for hosting the World Cup in a country that tramples on human rights, where thousands of construction workers died due to horrible working conditions, and there were no consequences. Not to mention that the tournament has to be held in November and December due to the extreme heat, which has a completely different atmosphere, but this is just an insignificant addition to the consequences of the 2010 decision.
This whole thing is deeply nauseating.
Because it makes clear the profound hypocrisy of the West. After all, it turned out in black and white: there is one more important than human and rainbow rights: business. And winning the presidential elections.
This is the same as when Western countries continue to trade with Russia in the face of great and vehement anti-Russian sentiment and insane sanctions.
And in general: the rainbow antics of the big Western countries are also completely bogus. If they had seriously wanted to do something about the truly disastrous decision - that is, that Qatar was given the right to host the World Cup - after they already knew that thousands would die during the construction, they could have simply boycotted their participation in the World Cup. But the file can't swell to that point, right, English, Germans, Dutch?
God, what else are we to believe them? And above all: why?
Oh, one little thing: Mr. Infantino has a villa in Qatar.
Let's not be naive, because then we always end up doing badly thanks to our Western "friends".
And, of course, at home, sitting back, feel free to drink beer or soda during the matches...
