District attorneys financially supported by George Soros are forging a new criminal law initiative aimed at treating illegal immigrants differently than American citizens when they commit crimes.

Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón issued a directive requiring county prosecutors to consider so-called "immigration consequences" for illegal immigrants accused of crimes to prevent them from being deported.

The Gascón Directive states that

all decisions must be made with the aim of avoiding or mitigating adverse immigration consequences of the decision. In such circumstances, these alternatives must be used."

The policy of prosecutorial leniency towards illegal migrants is hardly new. Soros - backed district attorneys to treat immigrants differently in the justice system than their U.S. citizen peers.

As Breitbart News reported last year, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner instituted a similar policy that

intends to exercise discretionary powers against illegal immigrants accused of crimes, thus avoiding their deportation.

Other Soros-funded district attorneys, including Cook County's Kimberly Foxx and Contra Costa's Diana Becton, have instituted similar policies.

In October, Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt announced so-called "prosecutor reforms" aimed at charging illegal immigrants with crimes that would not necessarily result in their deportation from the United States instead of their original crimes.
