On Monday, the governing parties filed a criminal complaint against an unknown perpetrator: they are asking the investigative authority to order an investigation into the fear-mongering text messages affecting the savings of the public due to well-founded suspicions of threats to the public and spreading scaremongering, the faction spokesman of the KDNP said on Monday.

On Friday, an unprecedented attack was launched against Hungary's financial system

 - it is clear from the video statement sent to MTI by Lőrinc Nacsa.

First, panic-inducing and false news spread widely on social media and via text messages, according to which the savings of the public were threatened by some kind of danger, and they urged the termination of bank deposits, he said, noting:

due to the dangerous messages, the police also ordered an investigation, due to a thorough suspicion of spreading scaremongering.

Lőrinc Nacsa emphasized that in such a situation, all public actors have the responsibility to do everything they can to prevent the spread of horror stories.

He added: in comparison, the vice-president of the Gyurcsány party, László Varju, did not do enough , and even added fuel to the fire when he held a press conference despite their prior invitation. There, the representative of the left essentially continued to confirm the fake news spreading on social media, he said.

"This is a red line, the left has crossed a line"

 - said Lőrinc Nacsa, who believes that László Varju did not tell the truth, and moreover, with his words, he seriously harmed the interests of the country and the Hungarian people.

He said:

on Monday, he and his fellow representative, Erik Bánki, filed a criminal complaint against an unknown perpetrator

According to his description, the investigating authority is being asked to order an investigation in the case due to well-founded suspicions of threatening public danger and spreading horror stories.

The fake messages reached many Hungarian people, so the case is serious and requires an answer, the Christian Democrat politician stated.
