According to a new research, 253 news sites and activist sites around the world receive funding through George Soros' philanthropic network.

The organization Media Research Center Business prepared an analysis of the network of relations that György Soros, the American businessman of Hungarian origin, has with the media of the international public, reports the Daily Caller.

According to the study, Soros is connected to 253 media around the world, and with the help of this, he can shape public opinion on every continent in order to spread the ideology of an open society with his multi-million dollar network, the Mandiner drew attention to the study .

Some examples are also listed: the well-known Project Syndicate site, which is also called the world's opinion site, and on which Soros himself published opinion articles, received more than one and a half million dollars between 2016 and 2020. The Poynter Institute, which trains journalists, received nearly $500,000 during this period to operate its international fact-checking network.

Organizations and funds called Free Press, openDemocracy and the Media Democracy Fund also received support from the Soros.

National Public Radio (NPR), an American public service medium, received $600,000 from Soros in 2016.

The Media Research Center Business promises that it will report on the path of money in Soros' network in further analyses.

The Daily Caller, writing about the study, contacted all the organizations mentioned above about the matter, but they did not respond to the inquiry until the publication of the article.
