In the trial known as the "Elk*rtuk case", a verdict was announced on Friday. In the first instance, it was established that Kálomista and his team violated Hann Endre's personal right to protect his good reputation. According to the court's verdict, Gábor Kálomista must apologize to Endre Hann in a private letter and on Megafilm's website, as well as pay one and a half million forints in damages and half a million forints in court costs.

As we wrote earlier , Hann Endre, the head of the Median public opinion research company, initiated a personal rights lawsuit against Megafilm Kft., in connection with the film Elkxrtuk. The leader of Median, which is close to the political left, complained that Endré, who appeared in the film released last October, was modeled after him, who, as the director of a polling institute, manipulates public opinion with false data, and also influences political life as a decisive background figure.

On the other hand, the owner-producer of Megafilm Kft., Gábor Kálomista, argues that it is a feature film, which is a fictional genre, not an investigative documentary.

According to the court's reasoning, the problem was not that the main character of the film was named Endre and that he was a pollster, but the statement published afterwards, in which it is clarified who was referred to in the work.

Regardless of the fact that the film is based on fiction and does not depict real events, the court stated that viewers cannot necessarily differentiate between reality and fiction based on what they see:

" This reference is offensive, this representation is offensive, the association with Endre is offensive, because it damages his earned professional credit and political neutrality and destroys trust in his person and in the direction of the company he represents," said the judge .
