Explaining the details, he said that married couples can still apply for a loan of up to ten million forints as a free-use loan; if the mother is between 18 and 41 years old, and if the first child is born within five years, the loan will be interest-free, after the second child 30 percent of the outstanding debt will be forgiven, and after the third the entire debt will be forgiven.
Ágnes Hornung also announced that as of January 1st, women with student loans will have their entire student loan debt waived if they give birth to a child during their studies or within two years of their completion.
Among the new family support elements, the state secretary also talked about the SJ exemption for mothers under 30 years of age. According to the new measure, women who give birth or adopt a child under the age of 30 - regardless of whether they are married, single or divorced - will receive a social security exemption up to the average wage, which can be claimed from the age of 12 weeks until the end of that year , until the mother reaches the age of 30 - explained Ágnes Hornung.
He also said that from January, families raising chronically ill or severely disabled children will be able to take advantage of an additional HUF 10,000 tax discount on top of the existing discounts, and the children's home care fee (gyod) will be HUF 232,000 gross.
