Migration pressure continues to grow, the future of Europe depends on the protection of borders, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated in a video published on his Facebook page on Friday evening.

"The meeting of the Council of European Prime Ministers ended at three o'clock this morning. It took so long because we had to discuss the issue of migration," said the prime minister.

He stated:

the pressure is increasing, it is slowly becoming unbearable even for Western countries.

We cannot delay any longer, we had to face the situation and clearly state that Europe is in great danger. Urgent action is needed. The member states have agreed on this, added the prime minister.

"The only question now is whether the Brussels bureaucrats sitting in the committee also understand the need to act immediately. For example, legal proceedings against Hungary should be suspended or withdrawn, and member states, including Hungary, should be supported to build fences and strengthen their border protection. The future of Europe depends on this," said Viktor Orbán.
