At least two hundred of our compatriots have died in the war so far
At least half of the Munkács 128th mountain hunting brigade, considered the elite formation of the Ukrainian army, was killed in the Soledar battle. It is impossible to know the exact numbers, but one of the morgues near Munkács is already filled with the corpses of soldiers. The corps, and thus most of the victims, are Hungarian.
The Russian-Ukrainian war has been going on for 11 months. Masses lost their lives in the clashes. , the 128th mountain hunting brigade in Münkacsi stands out, in which most Transcarpathian Hungarians serve, Origó . Kiev did not rest this unit, did not withdraw it, like the units of soldiers of Ukrainian nationality, but used them in the toughest battles one after the other.
According to the portal's report, many people are puzzled as to why the Transcarpathian unit is always sent to the scene of the most violent clashes. Among other things, the Münkacs brigade took part in the Soledar battles, which in many places are only described as "meat grinders". In the siege, both sides made a hideous blood sacrifice of tens of thousands.
In order not to shock the population and portray the war more favorably, the Ukrainian leadership previously reported only five or six deaths per day. The official data still speak of only twelve Hungarian victims, even though many more died, the number reached two hundred months ago, and since then it has continued to increase, and this can only be the tip of the iceberg, they added.
The M1 news channel also reported on the situation of Transcarpathian Hungarians.
