The total amount of funding recently approved as part of the national recovery plan (PNRR) for the applicants of the three counties of Székelyföld exceeds 176 million lei. Municipalities that successfully apply can mostly spend the money on energetic renovation of buildings, thermal insulation, the purchase of smart outdoor furniture and the improvement of public services.

Hargita County will receive 49 million lei, Kovászna County 79.6 million, and Maros County 47.7 million lei. The Ministry of Development published several approval lists last week. Most of the favorably evaluated projects in Hargita and Kovászna counties are included in the list of financing approved for energy development, and the investments of the municipalities of Maros county appear largely in the list of financing for the development of environmentally friendly public transport.

Focusing on the improvement of thermal insulation and public services, energy modernization of the buildings of several institutions operating under the authority of the county council in Hargita County can also be realized with PNRR funding. These include the building of the otolaryngology department of the Csíkszereda hospital, the Hargita County Personal Registration Public Service and the Hargita County Art Folk School, the Hatos villa in Homoródfürdő, and two buildings of the county's educational center for children with special educational needs. The Mayor's Office of Székelyudvarhely will receive funds in the PNRR program for the energetic modernization of the dental surgery building in Villanytelep Street. In Hargita County, the Ministry of Development approved the largest amount of money for this purpose - 28.1 million lei (VAT amount) - for the modernization of the Maroshévíz town hall, library and cultural center building. Incidentally, in the first half of January, the ministry also approved financing of 19.1 million lei for the energetic renovation of the hospital in Maroshévíz. The municipality of Csíkcsicsó receives funds for the development of document and workflow management systems and the construction of a one-stop virtual administration in the PNRR program,

Szépvíz and Farkaslaka for improving public services, and Gyergyószentmiklós for environmentally friendly transport infrastructure. Many settlements want smart furniture In Maros county, the largest amount was approved for the county center, 12.8 million lei, which the municipality can spend on an intelligent traffic control system. Dicsőszentmárton will receive money for the modernization of the mayor's office building, and Ádámos village will receive money for the energy development of the local doctor's office and the elementary school in Mezőkirályfalv. In the first half of the month, the Ministry of Development also approved funding for similar investments for the villages of Bonyha, Mezőpanit and Marosszentkirály.

The municipalities of Segesvár, Szászrégen, Nagysármás, Szováta, Héjjasfalva, Mezőkirályfalva, Maroskeresztúr, Kutyfalva, Marosszentanna, Dános, Gernyeszeg, Marosugra and Mezőtóhát will also receive money for the development of environmentally friendly public transport and public services. In Maros county, several municipalities successfully applied for the purchase of smart outdoor furniture in the PNRR program. Such villages are Mezősámsond, Oláhkocsárd, Mezőpagocsa, Ratosnya and Mezőrücs. The management of the villages of Petele and Kisikland will receive money to expand the camera system monitoring the public area.

EU money will fall on György Sepsiszent. In Kovászna county, the county center can use the most money to develop: Last week, the development ministry approved funding of well over 70 million lei for György Sepsiszent for the thermal insulation and energetic modernization of schools and several block of flats. In Kézdivásárhely, they can develop environmentally friendly public transport with PNRR money, in the village of Dobolló they can spend the funding on a camera system and outdoor smart furniture, and in Felsőrákos, which belongs to Barót, on thermal insulation of the primary school. In the first half of the month, by the way, the application for the thermal insulation of the elementary school in Köpec, which also belongs to Barót, also received a favorable assessment from the department.
