The mainstream media in Austria and Germany urge people to be pro-woke and pro-gender, as well as support immigration, emphasized Richard Schmitt, editor-in-chief and co-owner of the Austrian Exxpress AT in Budapest, at the Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) international conference on the state of the media market. on the second day.

Richard Schmitt argued that today's mainstream media in Austria and Germany view readers as elementary school students, which they don't like.

They tell people to be pro-woke and pro-gender and pro-immigration; they also tell people what to think about the coronavirus epidemic, he added.

Richard Schmitt called the tabloid media an important pillar of democracy. At the same time, he emphasized: their situation is difficult, because although they have to be critical of the activities of politicians, at the same time they have to act as partners, since they receive a lot of money from the world of politics.

He noted that the market does not look like this in Germany and the United States, he is talking about the situation in Austria. He stated that they always tell the truth, which is very important these days.

Although, according to him, the tabloid media is not a destroyer of society, but a pillar of democracy, it is also very dangerous. It is important to seriously check the facts in the midst of fast work. In many places, the costs spent on this are reduced, which is not a good direction, Richard Schmitt opined.
