In a video uploaded to his social media page, the savior of DK talks about how a single party and its leader want to impose their will on the Hungarian people again, but we will still be a free, democratic, Hungarian republic.
"77 years ago, Hungary was freed from autocracy and the Second Hungarian Republic was proclaimed," begins Ms. Gyurcsány.
He then continues:
"However, this great event only brought short-lived freedom to the Hungarian people, because the communist dictatorship emptied the institutions of the republic within a few years and made them nominal. Even though we had a constitution on paper, even though we had courts and a parliament, the freedom of the Hungarian people was taken away. And the spirit of the republic was trampled upon. He was defamed by people who believed in only one thing: unlimited, irreplaceable, uncontrollable power. And they lied that we have no choice because only they can lead the country. They are the only patriots and anyone who questions this is a traitor."
Finally:
"It is no coincidence that these words are familiar to today's ears. In the past 12 years, history seems to be repeating itself. Once again, only one party and its only leader wants to impose its will on the Hungarian people. Once again, they invaded the independent institutions of the republic, once again they built unlimited and irreplaceable power. We will still be a free, democratic, Hungarian republic."
