The dollars rolled to the company of a Gyurcsányist representative candidate, Magyar Nemzet wrote after the secret service report revealed that the company of Mónika Sápi, the joint candidate of the leftist party in Vásárosnamény, DK, also received American campaign money. Earlier, Ferenc Gyurcsány and his wife, Klára Dobrev, also talked about the fact that they did not know about the money and where it went, but according to analysts, now they "failed", reported M1 Híradó.

"The rotten to the core, corrupt government must be sent to where it belongs," Mónika Sápi teased her followers in a video uploaded to her social media site last November.

The doctor, who likes to promote herself with the prominent people of DK, first became known in the left-wing primary election in the fall of 2021 in the county of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg. He then defeated his socialist opponent, but in the parliamentary elections he lost heavily against Attila Tilki of Fidesz.

But at the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán also tried to gain a moment of fame at an international press conference.

The person of Mónika Sápi last appeared again at the beginning of 2023, only in the second partial report prepared by the National Information Center for the national security committee of the parliament.

According to the secret services, his family company received more than HUF 8.3 million from the Everyone's Hungary Movement led by Péter Márki-Zay and partially funded by America.

Olga Kálmán said in the latest shadow government briefing for M1 on the subject: when Mónika Sápi concluded the contracts about these funds, she was not yet a member of the DK. He joined the party only after the elections. "Based on the information we received from him, we know that his events company was indeed commissioned by MMM for events of this type - these were events completely independent of the election campaign - such as a charity campaign organized in connection with the recovery of a sick child, and family days" - said Olga Kálmán.

The next day, in ATV's Egyenes beszéd program, Vice President László Varju also denied that DK had anything to do with foreign campaign funds, and in fact, according to him, Mónika Sápi's company was already run by her son at the time of the transfers.

However, according to information from Magyar Nemzet, the new owner of DSM Consulting Kft., the son of Mónika Sápi, has been leading the company since June 2022, against which enforcement has been ordered four times, the last time in November last year by the competent county directorate of NAV.

A few days later, Klára Dobrev also denied. Ferenc Gyurcsány's wife stated that they campaigned with the money that was legally available to the party. The one who controls the left

Ferenc Gyurcsány also constantly communicated that he was not aware of illegal campaign funds from abroad.

Incidentally, the money was used to make, among other things, the souvenirs shown in the featured image

Magyar Nemzet, on the other hand, based on the case of Mónika Sápi, writes: the claim that the transfers from abroad were not spent by the dollar left on their candidates or campaigns is at least strongly questioned. The path of rolling dollars led from New York state all the way to Vásárosnamény.
