Did a migrant rape you? Don't call the police or you're a racist! At least one Berlin university made this request to the girls. The police think otherwise. It is a big dilemma as to what is the right decision.
The university advised girls who were repeatedly harassed by a migrant sex offender not to call the police because they might be seen as racist.
The suspect has been sexually harassing female students on the campus of the Free University of Berlin for weeks, but the far-left student committee there urged them not to alert the authorities.
However, the newspaper Morgenpost reported on the e-mail sent by the group to the students, from which it is clear that they are not concerned about the victims, but about the perpetrator. The girls were advised to contact the university's security service or the social psychology service instead of bothering the authorities - who are not properly trained to deal with psychologically extraordinary situations anyway.
According to Remix News, the sex offender was asked in vain to change his behavior and stop harassing women, but he refused to do so.
Berlin police responded to the story by telling women to call them if they felt unsafe.
Such behavior is nothing new in Germany, which has taken in millions of immigrants, the vast majority of them young men, from the Middle East and North Africa over the past decade.
After a mass molestation of women by migrant men in Cologne on New Year's Eve 2015, a local feminist group infamously responded by visiting the city's migrant center and handing out flowers to asylum seekers.
