Berlin deserves and needs more than what the CDU or the coalition parties are offering, or what they have done during their previous administrations, believes AfD politician Kristin Brinker, speaking to Magyar Hírlap. Repeated elections are being held in the German capital today, as the September 2021 vote in the European model democracy turned out to be so scandalous that the Constitutional Court annulled its results.
Berlin needs a more decisive leadership, one that keeps its promises, is precise and disciplined, stated Kristin Brinke when asked by Magyar Hírlap. According to the AfD politician, the most important thing would be for the German capital to be a truly livable city, not just on the level of words, not just apparently, but offering opportunities and affordable housing for everyone.
Today, the September 2021 elections were repeated in the provincial city, after its results were challenged by several people and annulled by the Constitutional Court. According to the surveys, all the candidates in the traditionally left-liberal Berlin, except for the Christian Democrats and the conservative party Alternative for Germany (AfD), lost their results. Nevertheless, based on the exit polls, it seems most likely that a social democratic-green-liberal coalition will be formed.
So Berlin will remain the "multicultural" capital of Europe, with high taxes and the imposition of the "green turn".
Kristin Brinke, on the other hand, believes that this direction is wrong. Berlin is currently not an attractive investment area - Deregulation and reduction of taxes (such as real estate tax and sales tax) could boost construction investments, he said.
The conservative politician also touched on the fact that the neglect of the police and fire brigades must be eliminated, that they need more resources, but that no party deals meaningfully with public safety. He also emphasized that, in his opinion, the city administration's tolerance of illegal immigrants should end. It should be made clear that those who crossed the borders illegally have nothing to do here, Kristen Brinke's statement revealed.
The AfD politician also pointed out that, despite the outwardly broadcast image, a significant number of Berlin schools are in need of renovation, but for the time being he sees neither the funds nor the intention from other parties for reconstruction.
- Berlin needs fundamental changes, a policy that supports small and medium-sized businesses and German families. It doesn't happen overnight, it doesn't promise short-term success, but these steps must be taken, explained AFD's Kristen Brinke in an interview with the newspaper.
