Hungarian and foreign anti-fascists beat five or six people over the weekend in Budapest. The far-left grouping could gather under the organization of Mérce and the Szikra Movement linked to András Jámbor, in response to the Day of Honor event held by the radical right and the Eruption memorial tour on the anniversary of the eruption. A crowd of many hundreds of people gathered in Buda's Castle and at Bécsi kapu square, the police were also present with large forces, but they were still unable to prevent the antifa groups dispersed from Bécsi kapu square to conduct a regular manhunt on the streets of the capital. Three victims of the antifa who were beaten to death with vipers and boxers also spoke to the Pesti Srács. Each of them reported that they were followed, could be followed, and that the group of six or eight attacked from behind, without any precedent. One of them didn't even participate in the events on the day of the eruption, he was only in field pants and boots, on his way to work when they attacked him.

The anniversary of the eruption day is surrounded by conflict almost every year. It is no coincidence that this time the police also banned several events scheduled for February 11 at the Buda Castle and marched to the scene with large forces. In previous years as well, it happened on several occasions that the peaceful commemoration and the tour were disrupted by rioters and provoked the participants. There have been examples of physical atrocities, but so far no such brutal attacks have taken place.

Although the opposition press had been shouting about hordes of neo-Nazis days before, the end result was that four people, including a woman, were finally detained on Sunday due to the bestial attacks of the Hungarian and foreign antifa. It is interesting that the Mérce blog - whose editor-in-chief was formerly the parliamentary representative of the Párbeszéd, András Jámbor - was already recruiting for a counter-protest on Facebook before the events, so it actively participated in the organization of the antifa movement. He then covered it live, at least the most acceptable part...

In the light of the events of the weekend, it is a beautiful sight to scroll through the reports of the opposition press. Almost without exception, they write about fear-inducing neo-Nazis, bald people who came here from everywhere, and in separate news about figures in ski masks who beat people and the police are investigating...

Zoltán, a traffic worker in Hoszágrét, was one of the victims of the antifa. Several videos have been posted on the Internet of how a large group unexpectedly jumps on the young man from behind, and then punches and kicks him for several minutes without saying a word. Zoltán suffered serious injuries. At St. John's Hospital, his head was stitched together with more than 20 stitches. He is now recovering in the countryside, with his parents. He recalled what happened to him only to PestiSrácok.hu.

Based on the footage shown by the investigators, we put together that they could have followed me from Széll Kálmán tér and boarded the 139 bus after me. I didn't even see them on the bus because they sat with their backs to me. I got off at Gazdagréti Square and went to the post office first, then I would have gone to work. I work near the square, in a tobacconist , said Zoltán. It is an important point that the young man is not a participant in the Day of Honor, nor did he participate in the Eruption tour. A streetwalker whose crime was to wear camouflage pants and boots.

On the way into the post office, I was approached by a young girl. He politely asked if I was going on the Eruption tour. I told him that I wouldn't go because I work all day on Sunday, but there are some of my friends who go. I even added that so far I have never made it to the tour. I cashed my checks at the post office, and a few minutes after I came out, after five or six steps, I felt the blow on the back of my head, he continued. He doesn't remember much of the beating. He also knows from the public camera footage seen at the police station that there were eight of his attackers. They hit him with vipers and boxers without saying a word, kicked him, even lying on the ground. A woman even sprayed him with pepper spray before he was left lying in a pool of blood.

Zoltán claims that the woman who addressed him must have been Hungarian, but he believes that foreigners could have been among her attackers. Several people watched the attack without intervening. The abused man knows from his colleague that one of the customers also went into the traffic where he works, thinking that "your colleague is being beaten on the street". In the ominous video, you can see that an old woman walking alone with a cane goes there and tries to help Zoltán, who is being beaten by eight people at the same time.

Ambulances later arrived at the scene. Zoltán was taken to traumatology at Szent János Hospital. His head was sewn together with 20-25 stitches. He has bruises all over his body, which, he says, make even breathing painful. As he put it, "I parried one of the viper's blows with my rib". He also got more on his legs, so they ache even when walking. This is how he finally went home by tram after his treatment.

László Dudog (pictured above), one of the well-known figures of national rock and his life partner, also fell victim to the antifa: they were followed from the commemoration on the day of the eruption, and they were also attacked from behind with vipers and boxers. The woman's face was also covered with something.

The XI. district, we took part in the commemoration, then we took the night train home: the seven to Astoria, from there we hurried to metro station 3. We got off at the Arany János utca stop, then you could follow us. The last thing I remember is that we reached the corner of Vadász utca, we were about 5 minutes from home, when they hit us from behind - began László Dudog.

The man is well known in national circles, he plays in several national rock bands. His figure is not easy to recognize now, so they left it in place. His head is bandaged, his face is deformed, his eyes and swollen mouth are covered with large purple spots. He has difficulty opening his mouth to speak. His partner took the floor, who was hit roughly at the same time as László.

I don't remember much either. At first I told the police that there could have been more than four of them. Now, after the interrogations and having seen the recordings, I can already say that there must have been eight of them. They hit me, kicked me, and to bring me to the ground, they blew something into my eyes and then into my mouth. This was not plain pepper spray, but rather a compound similar to tear gas. They also poured something on my left face, and then I collapsed - the woman told our newspaper. The fact that he had been stabbed was only noticed later, during hospital care. They also treated two stab wounds on his leg.

There were also two witnesses to the beating of the László Dudogs, who did not intervene, but gave their details so that they would testify if necessary. Later, already in the hospital, a tragedy almost happened: one of László's friends, Péter, followed them into the hospital to see if they were all right. He was lucky that he got sick there: he complained of nausea and chest tightness, and then collapsed. He had to be resuscitated a short time later. He had a heart attack, they fought for his life for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, Péter's son and a teenage boy who were with him were sobbing in the corridor. The Lászlós said that the fact that their friend survived what happened was also due to the fact that several police units were at the hospital. When Péter got sick, they immediately intervened, they took him in from the entrance and handed him over to the ambulance.

I would like to say that the police were very fair with us throughout. They were not on the side of the attackers. This is no longer the 2006 team , László's partner noted.
