The Military Administration and Central Records Command of the Hungarian Defense Forces (MH KIKNYP) drew attention on Wednesday that it is possible to apply for voluntary military service again.

In their statement sent to MTI, they reminded us that on February 13, the Ministry of Defense and the Hungarian Defense Force launched a year-long nationwide recruitment campaign, the aim of which is to enable as many people as possible, including young people, to learn about the forms of service and life paths offered by the Hungarian Defense Force -opportunities.

They added: one of the options offered by the national defense is voluntary military service, which is a training and earning alternative that mainly appeals to young people who, for some reason, are forced to postpone the start of their higher education in the given school year, or who want to try their hand at a military career.

Anyone who is over 18 years old, has Hungarian citizenship, and wants to make sure personally that courage, a cohesive community, and a high-tech force are not just slogans, can apply until midnight on March 3rd on the renewed iranyasereg.hu career website and at recruitment offices they wrote.

Participants in the first two months of the training also receive a salary for this period, and those who choose a special field in the second part of the program already receive the guaranteed minimum wage as a monthly salary. Participants are provided with clothing, a hot meal once a day, and reimbursement for travel expenses. Those who do not agree to travel to work 8 hours a day can also request accommodation.

By completing at least 6 months, you can earn 16 or 32 additional admission points in the higher education admissions procedure, with one year of service you can get up to 64 admission points. Successful completion is also an advantage when applying for the Steel Cube Non-Commissioned Officer Training System, they noted.

It was also announced that the training will start on March 13, as planned, in all the county seats of the country, at the territory defense regiments of the Hungarian Armed Forces.

They drew attention to the fact that the physically and mentally challenging service is based on volunteering, so it can be terminated at any time, but anyone can decide to become a contract soldier or to prove their military dedication as a reservist in addition to continuing their studies or civilian work during training.

They noted: in the last two years of the program, about a thousand people participated in two training cycles. They added: many people find their way to the national defense, and last year more than 400 of the reserve soldiers - including the participants of the program - chose contract military service.

According to the information, those who complete the second cycle of the voluntary military service 3 program and meet the mission conditions can also participate in the next mission preparation. After successfully completing it, they can also undertake missionary service by assuming a reserve or contractual relationship.

They also drew attention to the fact that the recruitment campaign covers all forms of service, in addition to voluntary military service, basic training for contract and reserve service applicants starts every month, while enlistment for this year's non-commissioned officer training, the so-called Steel Cube program, will take place in August.
