Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary, Radio Kossuth Good morning Hungary! was the guest of his show on Friday morning. Zsolt Törőcsik said that the Russian-Ukrainian war started exactly one year ago. He noted that Viktor Orbán stated both in his annual review speech and (according to press reports) at the parliamentary group meeting that we must stay out of this war. In response to a question from the presenter, he said that the Anglo-Saxons are well known for their ruthless discipline and way of thinking,

And in 1993, Soros spoke about how the Russians must be defeated somehow, but since the West does not take it well when their soldiers die abroad, the Central Europeans must be persuaded to go to war. It is very fortunate that the Anglo-Saxon politics did not embrace this way of thinking, stated Viktor Orbán. He added that the biggest loss in this war is that neither side has a clear war objective.

The prime minister explained that in a war, if the war aims are unclear, it is very easy to get lost. In an ideological sense, the goals are defined, but the line to which the fight will last is not clarified. He noted that it was a mistake on the part of the West to turn this into a pan-European conflict. He recalled that a year ago he already talked about the fact that we are constantly drifting into war, and the best example of this is the change in the German position. According to him, the sending of peacekeeping teams may arise in the future.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the West and NATO have a very significant advantage over the Russians in terms of armaments. He stated that NATO is a defense alliance, which is why Ukraine's possible membership is problematic, because there is a war there, and a country at war cannot be admitted.

He stated that, according to the basic agreement, NATO does not have an offensive task.

He noted that neither side can win this war, Russia cannot win, the West cannot defeat a nuclear power. Only the number of victims will continue to grow, more than a hundred thousand people have already died. According to Viktor Orbán, the sane position is a ceasefire, but the creation of peace requires more time than that.

Viktor Orbán reported that the UN adopted a pro-peace position last night, so the majority of the world is in favor of peace. He said that it is important that no country is threatened by the danger of drifting into war against their will. He stated

Hungary is the only country in the EU that is forced to make human sacrifices, and this is always ignored in Brussels.

We know what is happening on the front, and therefore more respect for the Transcarpathian Hungarians, stated the prime minister.

Viktor Orbán said about the Swedish and Finnish NATO accession that it gives a kind of moral obligation to Hungary, if someone wants to join NATO, and there is no significant harm to Hungarian interests, then we should also accept them, just as they accepted us. He noted that, in his opinion, this is logical, correct behavior both from a human point of view and from the point of view of honor.

That is why he asked the Fidesz faction to support the expansion, and the government therefore submitted the proposal to the Parliament by asking the representatives to vote on it. "But the representatives are not very enthusiastic," remarked the prime minister, and then explained that there is a part of them who say that a more than a thousand kilometer long direct border contact with Russia will still be established with Finland, and this has a great potential for war. According to him, we have convincing arguments for this counter-argument as to why this risk can be taken.

And the other side says that we should exchange a few words with these fine Finns and Swedes, because it is no use asking us to hire them, and they are spreading obvious lies about us.

How can someone want to be our ally in a military system if they unabashedly spread lies about Hungary? he asked the question.

Viktor Orbán said that the European sanctions system causes serious problems for Hungary, the best example of which is crude oil and natural gas. He noted that the sanction raised energy prices by 4,000 billion. In this regard, he said that there would have been plenty to spend this 4,000 billion forints on, he also mentioned research and development, education and healthcare.

The speculators have worked themselves to death, and we hope that there was no collusion between the speculators and the Brussels bureaucrats, he noted. He said that the government made 20 decisions against inflation, and because of these, he hopes that the rate of inflation will decrease from March, and by December it will be in single digits.

Reflecting on the scandals of the past few weeks, the Prime Minister stated that we Hungarians are family-oriented, and children play an important role in our hearts. He said that it is the adults' job to protect the children. He added that he is meeting with the Minister of the Interior today, because he has work to do in this matter.

According to him, the question should be asked, where were the school leaders and state leaders. The prime minister wants very clear answers to his questions and does not want these matters to be swept under the rug. Gender ideology is not a good-natured beef, he added.
