In Dunavarsány, the Margita 334.2 TSE and Református Dunamenti Kistérségi Diakónia Hospice House, and in Székesfehérvár the Family Support Service of Jenő Község and the Echo Innovation Workshop accepted on Thursday the offer of the Civil Solidarity Forum (CÖF) and the Association of Hungarian Women's Interests, which consists of a fruit and vegetable processing machine and It consisted of a collection of recipes called Magic to the Taste.
The aim of the helpers and supporters is to help civil organizations in community building with their donations. As Norbert Heizler, the national coordinator of CÖF, put it,
"not only is a device handed over, but the machine also provides an opportunity for volunteers from associations and foundations to work together while using it, thereby helping local communities."
He also added that the CÖF started its civil mission in 2016, which was joined not long after by the Association of Hungarian Women's Interests. During this time, more than 400 donations were distributed, including NGOs, primary producers, large families and public catering kitchens.
The beneficiaries of the canning devices handed over on Dunavarsány were selected by the Pest County Civil Community Service Center under the professional guidance of Dr. Zoltán Bóna.
At the reception, Ms. Kontha Kontha, the institution manager of the Református Danube Minority Diakónia Hospice House in Majosháza, said that the devices will be primarily used to process the fruits received as a donation, and that their activity also results in providing their patients with as much healthy food as possible.
Tibor Kovács, the president of Margita 334.2 TSE, explained that their association primarily deals with sports, they organize a lot of tours, sometimes with thousands of participants, where hundreds of liters of tea are consumed. For example, they will be able to use these devices there as well, it will be much easier to serve guests.
In Székesfehérvár, László Farádi-Szabó and Zsuzsanna Zugor, the professional manager of the Echo Innovation Workshop, received donations on behalf of the Family and Child Welfare Service of the Jenő Municipality.
In her thank-you speech, Zsuzsanna Zugor said that the donation was particularly useful to them, because their Volunteer Week event series will be held in June, where last year they made fruit juices, but this year they can also produce jam. They are in contact with many civil organizations and residents, where they can utilize the equipment in connection with summer camps, and they have many other events where they can involve producers as well.
The Family and Child Welfare Service of the Municipality of Jenő is the family helper of three settlements. At various events, they will be able to show families how easily and quickly fruit grown at home can be used even with children, said László Farádi-Szabó on behalf of the Service when accepting the canning machines.
