A few days ago, the donation of the Magyar Református Szeretetszolgáltat to help educational institutions in Transcarpathia was handed over in Beregszász. The goal of the HUF two and a half million package is to support the basic functioning of schools against the difficulties of cold weather and regular power outages lasting several hours.

The donation, which includes power generators, gas stoves and hygiene equipment, will be distributed among five Subcarpathian institutions. The aid will make everyday life easier for the Kindergarten in Som, the Grammar School in Nagybégány, the Grammar School in Russia, the Grammar School in Nagygejőc and the High School in Eszeny. The selection of the supported institutions and the determination of the form of the donation were made in cooperation with the Transcarpathian Hungarian Pedagogical Association. At the handover Ildikó Orosz, II. Ferenc Rákóczi, president of the Transcarpathian Hungarian College, and pastor Viktória Katona, executive deputy of the Hungarian Reformed Charity Service (MRSZ), took part. - With the aggregators, gas stoves and hygiene devices, we can help the everyday life of these institutions, and we consider it important to help other Hungarian communities in addition to the already supported Reformed institutions - the pastor emphasized.

Civilians Info: The war is going on, everyone is only paying attention to the politicians, waiting for hope that the horror will end and the feeling of a hopeless future. But Jesus said that the future is in God's hands, so we must pray and do our daily tasks. No matter how hard it is. "Every day has enough of its troubles" (Matthew 6:25-34) says our Lord quietly! This teaching is also followed by those who are in solidarity, try to help those in trouble, somehow give hope that the law of divine love is manifested in human communities. You don't even have to be religious for this, Kurt Vonnegut, one of the best-known atheists, the writer famous for his black humor, writes somewhere that - our main task is to help each other through this something, whatever it is.

To help, to carry the other's cross, knowing that others carry an even bigger and more painful cross. Those who live directly near the front can be victims of the everywhere death, violence and torture, along with their most sacred family members and children. In Transcarpathia, the nerds still sit together at school, although sometimes - often during the entire lesson - there is a power cut, the sirens sound and then you have to go to the shelter, the heating stops or there is none. But they persevere, life can't stand still, parents send their little ones with increasing concern, teachers often fix the Great Danes by candlelight, but they do their job.

And so are the supporters of the service of love. They take what they need to try to help the needy through today's troubles. Not only because they are our nation-brothers, but also because they humbly fulfill the Lord's will.

Hungary also bears the consequences of the war, takes in masses of refugees, and spends huge amounts of money to ensure that the most useful and most lacking tools and goods arrive in the region. He doesn't brag about all this, he does his job. Soli Deo gloria.
