Guy Verhofstadt, an ultra-liberal member of the European Parliament, makes his anti-Hungarian obvious again and again. A recurring element in his rhetoric is that Hungary's right to vote in the European Council should be taken away, as well as the subsidies it otherwise receives - exactly why is always determined by Verhofstadt's current mood. Now it is attacking our country precisely because of the Hungarian government's pro-peace stance. In its Origo series, it presents Hungary's pro-war enemies in Brussels - after Timmermans, Verhofstadt is here.
Guy Verhofstadt, a Belgian liberal member of the European Parliament known for his hatred of Hungarians, tried to divert the Hungarian government from its pro-peace position by exerting political pressure - by withdrawing Hungary's right to vote in the Council of Europe. For example, he complained that Viktor Orbán "is still sabotaging the sanctions against Russia". Just as our country has consistently called for a cease-fire, peace negotiations and peace as soon as possible since the outbreak of the war, Verhofstadt, the fallen Belgian prime minister, is vehemently in favor of sanctions against Russia.
Although his argument is not very credible, since he admitted that these sanctions are indeed "equal to zero"...
In his blind support of the sanctions policy, Verhofstadt went so far as to state that whenever Hungary uses the right of veto during sanctions decision-making,
Since the beginning of the war, the Belgian politician has also been urging the immediate cessation of Russian natural gas and crude oil shipments,
In his blindness, he demanded the withdrawal of voting rights from our country because the Hungarian government did not allow Hungarian households and Hungarian industrial establishments to remain without energy supply.
"Let's stop Putin's war machine! Yes, we will suffer because of the ban on Russian oil and gas (...), but we will survive," said the politician who radically attacks , yet considers himself a liberal, and who, moreover, for some reason obsessively sticks to this position.
However, one cannot be completely dissatisfied, since the amount of Russian energy carriers arriving in Europe has decreased due to the tension between Moscow and Brussels, but
It is not enough that he fought with politicians in Brussels who share the same spirit as him, so that the Europeans pay the price of the war,
He attacked our country because he did not join the armed supporters of Ukraine: he himself demanded tanks for Ukraine. "Send the tanks now!" - urged the liberal EP representative,
In his anti-Hungarian and pro-Ukraine stance, the EP politician dared to declare that Ukraine should be included among the EU member states instead of Hungary. The Belgian liberal would therefore see it better if Hungary, which has been on the side of peace since the outbreak of the war, were to leave the Union and replaced by a country currently at war, Ukraine, which is drowning in corruption. Member State.
