Below, we examine Sándor Papp's speech and writing entitled TALPRA MAGYAROK, TALPRA FELVIDEK published in Piros 7:
Dear celebrating and commemorating Hungarians from Hont and Nógrád!
Ever since I received the invitation - from Gábor Balogh and Béla Hrubík, whom I highly esteem - to give today's celebratory speech, my mind has been constantly thinking about how to connect the past with our present so that it is not just a self-serving production, but a message I can convey to you, to you, the essence of which the understanding audience will be able to store in their hearts and souls for a long time.
And then the thought arose in me, what if we quoted Sándor Petőfi here in his full reality? In today's world, almost everything is possible, so I did a test: I typed "heaven's phone number" into the Internet search engine and, lo and behold, a number came up. I thought it was just fake information, or as we would say in cool English, just a skinned brake, i.e. brake skin, so I called the number as a joke.
To my surprise, a voice immediately came in with a question about who I wanted to talk to. I say with Sándor Petőfi. The pleasant voice tells me to enter the next four-digit number and it will connect automatically. I scored: 1-8-4-8. It rang for a long time, I almost hung up on it, suspecting that it was all going to be just a premium scam and that I would be paying the heavy euros at the end of the month for my stupidity when it picked up.
"There you go, Petőfi," he said in a firm voice, "then he started by apologizing. He and Grandpa Bem had just had lunch and he was just swallowing the last bite of the stuffed cabbage made according to the Palóc recipe." He said that he was surprised, because few people used to call him, because since the Good Lord wanted to move with the times and, within the framework of a competition, with the winning company of St. Péter, he bought a lot of mobile phones for the inhabitants of heaven, Father Péter had already neglected marketing, so few people know about him. in the shadow world that this relationship exists.
We talked for a long time. Of course, I was tactful with him, I didn't ask if he went to Heaven from Sighsvár or Barguzin, but we agreed that if I give a speech here today, I will call him again to be a part of our celebration.
So now I'm asking for a little patience, I'm also a little nervous, I hope there won't be any problems with the field force....ring!
Hello Druze, can you hear me?! Well, God forbid! I do not disturb? What's up with you? How are you drinking wine with the two Miklós...Horthy and Duray! Give our greetings to the governor and the president!
...wait, I'd rather put you on the speakerphone so you can hear how many of us are celebrating you here, in Kőkeszi, Hont county!
If you've been talking with the two Miklós up there, you must have an idea of the events after '48, how things turned out after the compromise, and then what happened to the nation in 1920, and that in fact
This part of Hont county has been called the Nagykürtös district for quite some time, but it is rather mocked, because the lake brothers do not care about this region in a very careless way.
this is a foreign land for them, of course they take the money from us, but I think you have already discussed this with Lajos Štúr and Pál Országh. Although you said last time that Štúr is now deeply ashamed of what is happening down here in Tatralandia, he also realized that a people that only became a nation 175 years ago would have to learn how to govern its country for many hundreds of years, and that Lajos if now he could land among them and enter the current Slovak politics, then
on the model of the 12 points, he would rather propose a Union with Little Hungary in order to save what can still be saved for his own nation.
Well, that's how we are all here today, in festive decorations, with a cockade above our hearts, with our hearts full of anticipation, that we will finally triumph with a quiet, bloodless revolution during our earthly existence, because believe me, Sándorom, we really long for success, for common joy From Bratislava to Kőkeszin to Nagyszelmenc, in the Highlands.
That is why we have gathered here today, to strengthen each other, to remember all freedom fighters with respect and to keep alive the nation's poet, Sándor Petőfi, who was born 200 years ago, who is you, Sanyi, you are!
We are slowly saying goodbye to you, but I have one more question.
Don't you have any insider information up there about what's going to happen here with us? Because the truth is that we believe in providence, but it's quite tiring to keep the front in a constant state of uncertainty since Trianon, so it's no wonder that many of us give up, leave, change, deny their past, but we can't even be angry with them, because that's how life is when fate is merciless with us - the weak fall sooner.
If you would like to talk to the Good Lord, we can only tell him from here that he blesses the Hungarians with his divine love, with Joy and Abundance. Extend his protective arm to us, if we have to fight with the enemy. We have had enough of bad luck, we pray that he will bring us happier years. We have sinned many times in our past, and we have sinned against our future. My dear Alexander!
Thank you for being with us in this way! We can still call when the time comes, right?
May God bless you in Heaven, and may God protect this celebrating audience here in Kőkeszi!
Stand up Hungarians! Get up Upland!
